💡 2026 REVISIONS TO PPS SYSTEM FOR GOALTENDERS:
Prior to the 2026 update, Goalie Point Shares were calculated using shots on goals without adjustments for shot quality; PPS for goaltenders now uses HockeyStats.com‘s Goals Saved Above Expected (GSAx) model to account for shot quality in Goalie Point Shares calculations, starting in the 2007-08 season when the data first became publicly available.
