  • A player’s share of the maximum possible voting points for an award
    • Example: In 1996-97 Hart Trophy voting, Paul Kariya received 239 voting points of the maximum 540 (i.e., 54 voters x 10 points for a first-place vote)
      • Kariya’s 1996-97 share is 44.26%, or 0.44 Hart shares
      • Kariya earned 0.58 career Hart shares
